In the Netherlands, some advice to limit the spread of coronavirus are still in place. The vaccinations are working as they should and many people have built up resistance due to being infected with coronavirus. But coronavirus has not gone away. People will continue to get infected and become ill. The government is therefore monitoring the situation closely and will take action as appropriate, based on how the situation develops.
All coronavirus measures have been lifted. Following the advice below can help you and others avoid getting infected. And you’ll be helping to protect people with health concerns.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Consider alternative greetings instead of shaking hands or kisses.
Respect each other’s’ personal space
Avoid sharing food and drinks
Cough and sneeze in your elbow
Be aware of symptoms
If you have COVID-19 symptoms, do a self-test. You are requested to bring at least one self-test. Additional tests may be provided by the hosts.
If your test positive, the requirement of the Dutch authorities is to immediately self-isolate for a period of 5 days, at the end of which a new test is required. Please make the necessary provisions in your planning for such an unfortunate possibility, as the responsibility for everything related to self-isolation (space, additional risks/costs associated with this and/or changes of travel plans, etc.) lies with each delegation.
Masks are not compulsory but are of course accepted.
